For more than 25 years, our clinic has been performing white (natural-shaded) restorations only. Following the 2013 Minamata Convention for environmental protection, it has been recommended to restrict the use of mercury products gradually. Amalgam – the most familiar restoration material – contains mercury (the restoration is silver colored).
The Ministry of Health has reduced the use of amalgam in sensitive populations and will later ban its use altogether. As stated, our clinic has chosen not to use this material for more than 25 years, and we perform restorations using tooth-colored restoration materials.
Advantages:
- High esthetics
- Do not contain hazardous materials such as mercury.
- Minimal tooth material removal
- Diverse restoration options, such as tooth building, shape changing and so on.
